I think he will become a starter. He was a starter in college and in the minor leagues this year. The only reason he is in the bullpen was because the Yankees were desperate for someone who throws strikes and can get a big strikeout when needed. A lot of fans think he has only a fastball/slider combination, but he showed a great curve against Boston, and he also has a changeup. He will be a great starter. Of course he would make a great closer too, but he and Hughes will make a great one-two punch for years to come.

I love seeing these Boston fans cry about Joba "throwing" at Youkilis. It's nothing their pitchers haven't been doing to the Yankees for years, does anyone remember that Pedro guy throwing at Karim Garcia's head in '03, or taking Jeter and Soriano out of the same game in one inning that year by hitting them? Boston has thrown at the Yankees for years because they knew the Yankees wouldn't retaliate. Now the Yankees have someone who will. GO JOBA!!

There is talk of his joining the starting rotation, but he may have the ability to be a closer. The Yankees' bullpen has been their achilles heel after the starter and before Rivera. Chamberlain helps shorten the game by an inning for the opposition if the Yankees have the lead.

I would love to see him in the pen next year. It's just like the dynasty years when Mo was the bridge to Wettland. I think Joba could be the future closer and nail down all of the wins for Wang, Kennedy, Hughes and Ohlendorf.

he will, the real question is will he be efficient. extraordinarily because of the fact the gang messed him up in 2009, it should not be user-friendly. I advise i'm able to understand looking after youthful pitchers so as that they won't finally end up like the Mets' unwell-fated "era ok", yet what the Yankees did to Joba in 2009 grow to be ridiculous. because of the screw around with Joba's time table, that is not any longer marvelous that he went to conflict down the stretch. it should not be user-friendly yet interior the tip he would be back, with any luck extra perfect besides.

Screw the redsox, joba is gonna be a closer, which is what we need now, since Rivera keeps screwing us over, and asking for more money. Joba's the man!
