Me and my two best friends went to six flags last sunday, and at the gate they have people who check your purses for like weapons and stuff. My friend said " I really dont want people going through my purse ". I said " why? ". and she said " because i have pads in there just incase ". She is having all of the signs of her period coming, and i am jelous. How should i handle this???

You know, speeking from experience, having your period isn't very fun. Of course at first you to have it but in the end, it's just a nuissance. Say your at an amusment park one day and your supossed to start that day, then you'll have to carry tampons or pads with you, and in the water....well that just doesn't work. And say one day your in class doing a test and they won't let you go to the bathroom because you might get answers from your locker or something, that might also be a pain.
Just enjoy those last few years when you can run around and play without having to worry about a leak or having to go to the bathroom every 4 hours to change your pad or tampon. Thats what my mom always told me. So when the day came that I actually started ( I was lucky enough to be at home) I was ready and I hadn't spent months or years being jealous of everybody else who had alreadly started.
So all I'm trying to say is....LIFE ROCKS!!! Enjoy it while it lasts. Your friend might start soon and even she will tell you that it sucks. So be supportive of her and when your time comes then you'll be ready for it.
Best of luck,
Stephiipie

It is completely normal to be jealous and to want your period to start. Your body will do what is suppose to do on its on clock try and relax and enjoy the time you don't have to worry about a period I promise it will be here before you know it then you will wonder if it will ever stop!!

enjoy it while it lasts sister! lol

i don't really understand what you feel is glamorous or attractive about bleeding from your privates, but if it's about growing up and feeling like a woman it'll happen in time, and you cn be mature without the physical signs. and you don't have to worry about mood swings, cramps or wearing white shorts either...

it'll happen in time, and when it does you'll probably just get annoyed with it like the rest of us. either way, you're about at the normal age so it should happen soon.

Oh boyoboyoboy!!! Once you start having it, you'll be sorry. It's messy, it's sometimes painful and sometimes you will be embarrassed especially if it leaks on your jeans or skirt. I didn't get mine till I was 15 but just have pads on hand in case you get it unexpectedly. Everybody's different and you shouldn't be jealous. It will come when it's ready.

Honey, once it does come you will wish you never had it. It is not a fun day at the park. There is back pain, cramps, bloating, sore breasts, and the list goes on. Just be patient the time will come for you too, as it does to all of us.

just be patient, theres no way to hurry it up. perhaps you could purchase some pads- just in case. because not everyone has the symptoms before their first period. your may be coming soon as well.
