It has to be an experiment, nothing too simple (no volcanoes, etc.) and can be on chemistry, biology, or physics. I'd really like to do something on animals (I have a dog, so if I could use him to help in some way, that would be great) but it can't be anything too fancy, as I don't have the knowledge or the access to many scientific tools. I really want something original. I have until December.

Check the rules to see if projects involving live animals are permitted. Lots of schools and businesses would be happy to help you with access to equipment if you demonstrate that you're serious. Part of the purpose of the project is for you to get the knowledge.
