If it is a relatively well known star (for example Betelgeuse), then Wikipedia has good information. I often use it (and check the info against other sources) and find it reliable.

If you are looking for a faint, little-known star, you may have to hunt around for the table that contains it (usually some specialised table that contains that type of star -- in other words, you must already know some properties in order to find the table that will give you its properties).
