Obviously, it is not real.

If you want to report this... make sure you have your email program set up to show full headers. If you are using yahoo as your email client go into OPTIONS (in the upper right-hand of the screen) then > General Preferences > and where it says Messages choose the option to show full headers...

Now go back to the email and you should see a bunch of stuff above the body of the email like the x-originating-ip...

Hit the forward button (and make sure all that header stuff is still in the message... if not go back and copy and paste it into the top of the email manually)...

first, you can email it to spam@uce.gov

You can also copy the x-originating-ip and perform a WHOIS lookup at http://www.samspade.com
this will do a trace and tell you what ISP or Domain the email is originating from... they will usually have an abuse@xxx.com that you can send to.

Also, if they have a reply-to email listed within the email (DO NOT send to them) but if it's a domain like yahoo.com you can also send the email to their abuse department.

Then, mark the email as spam within your own email program and delete it.

good luck.

The United Nations, does not have an anti fraud unit. The email is a scam, and I would not open as it may contain a trojan virus or some other spyware.

DO NOT OPEN IT! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!

Send it directly to spoof@yahoo-inc.com.

They will inform you whether or not it is fraud.
