How do you find zeros of a polynomial function?

I would like to know how to work it out. Also is there a shortcut way with a TI89?

Factor it. When its factored down to it's simplest equations, set those equal to zero and solve for the unknown. For instance x^2 - 2x +2 factors to (x-2)(x-1). Set x-2=0 and x-1=0. Solve and theres your zeroes.
