i just feel like they should do something in the nfl to ask for the absurd ammounts of money they are asking for. look at the deals that ryan leaf , akili smith , brian bozworth, lawerence philips etc etc etc, they got huge deals and turned out to be colossall busts. i would like to see the nfl make a flat contract rate that guys by round and the player has to prove that they are worth more then that in the first 3 years or have shown that they can play at that level. I just hate players like russell who have had 1 good year in college then go #1 and think they are worth an absurd amount of money.

Well JaMarcus Russel got a lot of money, and he did not even practice with them team, he did not play in pre season and his team is starting McCown. He should not have got a dime if he is not going to play. It is funny that Raider fans talk about this guy like he is a god, and he has not taken a snap in the NFL. That is robbery.

It would not value lots if it wasn't for the slanderous advertisements that must be replied. McCain suggested he exchange into going to run a sparkling marketing campaign this time then began marvelous out with those ridiculous advertisements comparing Obama with Moses and Paris Hilton. that's what's disgusting to me...vowing one factor and doing yet another.

When people STOP shelling out the big bucks to go see the games- THEN the money the Draft Picks get will go down. It won't happen before then. Let's "take back" the choice of who "gets what"- & make it Ours again... :)

No, they need to get whatever money they can while they can. There is no guarantee you will make it the league, so it's best to get it up front. If the team feels they are worth it, than they are justified in getting paid that.
Would you be made at someone if they took a job for more money?
