In "If You're Reading This" does the melody come from some other song because at the part in the song where he begins to sing, "so lay me down...." the melody sounds really familiar to something else I've heard but can't remember.

Yeah, it does. All I know is this isn't a remake. But the melody could have been similar.

Singing style and such kind of sounds like "when the stars go blue" in parts.... at least from what I'm remembering of both songs....

Ain't much I don't like by Tim, but for some reason I can't stand this song

It kind of reminds me of "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas, but different.

possible they really do remake alot of songs these days but use the same music
