yes, it can hold videos. They have 8 or 16 gb, so there is enough room for about 10 (8gb) or 20 (16gb) hours of video, which is enough for some full-length movies, maye 4 or 8, after ipod-sizing the files, depending on which version you get.

if you are looking to put movies on an ipod for the new video u can get them cheaper an wiht more memory and are just as good if not better as the touch.

all supported formats if you mean like full months that are like 1 gig each
probably at least 20 movies
or over 50 tv shows
It really depends on the size you get
