I've heard Cancer and Aquarius don't go together very well...?

Question

I'm an Aquarius, and I've been friends with a Cancer girl for more than a year now, and we get along just fine. We speak to each other like close friends, and may consider a relationship. We've even considered traveling together.

Horoscopes say that we (Cancer and Aquarius) are not compatible, or that we will have a turbulent relationship or something negative. I'd like to believe that 'compatibilities' do not always have to be a rule to dictate how relationships will work.. Anyone with me?

If anyone out there knows or experiences a good, lasting healthy relationship with their loved one, which horoscopes say are not compatible, please let me know for some reassurance :) . However, feel free to tell me what you think of an Aquarius / Cancer combination. Any Aquarians / Cancerians out there willing to tell me their experiences?

Aquarius and Cancer


Can Cancer, an emotional water sign, find true love with Aquarius, a rational, objective air sign? Not easily. You will find Cancer's need to stay at home difficult. In long lasting relationships you will always find supporting aspects. Typically though, Cancer's are much too clingy for a freedom-loving Aquarian. Unless Cancer girl has an Aquarius moon-a most fortunate position found in love relationships, and that aspect smoothes over many hardships and other negative aspects in the chart. Many of my friends parents are signs which are said to not get along-but I know how it all works, so it really doesn't surprise me when I hear of an Aquarius man being married to a Capricorn woman-even though they yell and scream at each other...yup, been married almost 20 years. I wouldn't want to live that way though. I say, if you want to be with someone, no matter their sign, go for it-there is always a lesson to be learned in every relationship...Cancer Sun Sign inherent traits will always work there way to the surface...just a warning-they are possessive and jealous, and...there's always a stream of turbulent emotions running beneath the surface.

I too am friends with many Aquarians, and we tend to get along with each other just fine {I'm a Cancer too}. But I never had a relationship with one.

Maybe there's different planets in her chart that are compatible with yours, or you two may just be better off as friends {I've checked websites too and aquarians and cancers don't usually mix in relationships, but are better off as friends.} Check "astrology friendship compatibilty" on google and see what you find.

Well, i'm a Cancer, and all I can tell you is that, every Aquarian I have ever known has ended up really hurting me in the end. They became aloof, cold, and bored easily with one friend. They always expected me to be hanging out on the fringes waiting to come running to them at the snap of a finger when they were bored with their latest friend or interest. And seemed truely bewildered when I wasn't ok with that. The closer I tried to get, the more they wiggled away. I now realize it wasn't intentional, they just natually don't like to be "pinned down" where as we Cancers like really intimate bonds.....even with friends and coworkers. The only way the friendship might work, is if you have a more cuddly rising sign, and she has a more aloof one. Good luck!

i am Aquarius and ive been with my Cancer boyfriend for 12 months at first i thought it wouldnt really work because he was sooo emotional and very moody and that sometimes annoyed me but then i got used to it and accepted him for who he was moodyness and all and i thought to myself " everyone has needs he just has a little more than usual" and sometimes i dont realize i hurt him because hes sooo sensitive but all those things are just problems i can fix but i cant fix them without him and we both realize that and i wouldnt choose anyone but him hes amazing and even though people say aquarians are cold and distant on the inside we arent, thats only on the outside, we like to hide our feelings as best as possible because the last thing an aquarian wants is someone to find them out but i have let my boyfriend do that to me which is fine because im used to it now and i trust him just try to earn our trust on the inside and we might get adapted to your moodyness

I'm a crab (Cancer) and listen to me when I say that your sun sign isn't all knowing.
I had a great friendship with a Gemini guy. I even had a small crush on him at some point. During that time I went to see if we were compatible. We weren't. Astrology said that he would be too flirty for me.
Then I looked at my big chart that I made for myself so it wasn't 100% acurate but I went with it anyways. My Mercury was in Gemini. Apparently that meant that I'd get along with Geminis better.
I got over my crush but we're still good friends. So if you wanna go after this girl, don't listen to what your sun sign might say.

I'm a Cancer female and my relationship with Aquarius was turbulent to say the least. We were good as friends but when we became a couple it was pure hell! I wouldn't ruin my friendship just stay friends because trust me things change once you become a couple

well astrology isn't all about sun signs. What's your moon or rising sign?? Maybe that could explain why you get along so well with this cancer. Then again this compatibility stuff goes more for romantic relationships than friendships.
