For the first, (and if they try to charge me, only time), I rang the 0906 Virgin media broadband number because I couldn't sign in to my email service on their website. They told me it was a problem with my computer, this was about 6pm 19th Sept.

The problem was the .com kept changing to :com so I couldn't sign in, but I could sign in directly at the direct email address.

On the virgin service status page, there was a known fault with that same issue from 1.01 pm.

How come their technician knew nothing about the fault, and blamed it on my computer?

Yes its is! you end up talking to an Indian call centre operative who is under pressure and often clueless, then they say they will call you back! but never do, dont call, try all other means possible!

Because they are thick, they only know the minimum basic stuff which most people with a pc should know anyway, then they tell you to do this do that which you have probably already tried, thats if you can understand what they are say.
