Divide the cost by the weight for each box. In the first one, the cost per ounce is almost 19 cents/oz; in the second, it is almost 14 cents/oz. The second box is a much better buy.

Divide each cost by the quantity to find the cost per ounce.

3.75 / 20 = 0.1875

4.15 / 30 = 0.1383

So the second one is the better value since it is 14 cents per ounce verses 19 cents per ounce

cereal one:
20oz cost=$3,75
10oz costs=$1.875
2nd cereal:
30oz cost=$4.15
10 oz cost=$1.3833
2nd cerial is better buy, as 10 oz of 2nd cereal costs less than the same 10oz of the 1st cereal.
