I started my period today. I have swim practice three days a week and I'm skipping today. (Wednesday) But do you think I will be able to wear a tampon on Friday or is that too early? The only reason I'm not today is because my Mom doesn't want me too.

yes, you can wear a tampon.
dont worry about, you wont leak.
just if you have a heavy flow, make sure to get a super super tampon... or playtex sport.
just incase.
but other than that
you should be fine!!!!

Yes, you can wear a tampon during any time of your menstrual cycle. If your mom doesn't want you to use tampons quite yet then ask a friend to borrow a few of hers so you can try them out and see if you like them. If they work for you then try talking to your mom about using them. If it makes your mom feel more comfortable then let her know you'll only use them for swimming. After your mom gets more comfortable with you using tampons then maybe you'll get to use them for every period regardless if you'll be swimming or not! Best of luck!

It's definitely not too early to do tampons. Ask your mom if you can just wear it for the swim practice. She will most likely understand why you want to wear one.

Yup, as long as you wear a tampon you are good to go for the water.
Your period does not stop nor does it slow down, it only looks like it stops, but it just gets dispersed into the water.

I wear a tampon all the time. In fact, I never, ever use a pad. I hate them. I go from light tampons to heavy tampons. Anyway, it is safe to wear a tampon whenever you want to. Although, at your age, I would not recommend wearing them to bed. I'm 26.

you can wear a tampon to do any sport. Swimming could actually help cramps if you have any too..

you can wear a tampon while swimming, it's prefectly safe, un-noticable and much easier and cleaner than a pad!!!
