Yes, I am a diehard Yankees Fan. I will answer the fan without being biased. Obviously, I would love the Yankees to win the division and I honestly do think they could take over. Also, I think it they will because of the stability f our pitching right now and the injuries of some significant Red Sox players. Also, I have to say I am proud to be a Yankees Fan. I mean they were as far as 131/2 games behind and where are they now? Knocking on the door!!! And soon that door WILL be pushed through by the New York Yankees!!!!!

Honestly to tell you. With the way Boston has been playing all year...it's highly unlikely. However, it's also in baseball that anything can happen just as in any sports with its flops. Let's say Boston goes 6 wins out of 9 and Yankees get 9 win streak or something...then it's yankees on top with division title...Flops can always happen in any sport. If I were either the yankees or Red Sox...I'd try to cut down on some of those wins...and try to play another division foe in the playoffs since BoSox have the best record in AL, and the Yankees are burning hot right now. It's be a shame to see either one of the teams go down early in the playoffs the way they are playing. If BoSox want to be safe...I'd safe cut down on the wins...or vice versa for Yankees as long as they stay ahead of Tigers.

Absolutely. With Dice-K and Okajima both struggling, Youkilis is hurt, Manny doesn't even know when he's coming back, and the recent failures of their bullpen, it's more than possible. New York only has to win 3 more games than Boston this week so for example if Boston goes 3-6, New York can go 6-4 and win the division.

I dont see why not.
Red Sox rotation is a mess. Their Bullpen is a mess. Their team doesn't have the top 2 pitchers that all other playoff bound teams in the AL have. Dice K doesn't scare anyone. Josh Beckett and Buckholez combo is their answer to Andy P. and CM Wang? I dont think so.

In my heart I beleive the Yankees can catch and pass the Redsox but in my head I can only see that the Bosox own a 2 1/2 game lead with only 12 left to play. Thats a tough cookie. I hope it plays out the way my heart sees it.

Do you believe the Yanks could go 7-4 in their last games and the red sox could go 4-6 in their last games? because that would be all it would take. IMO it is very possible, if not probable.

i def. think they could catch them! i mean the yankees r one of the best teams(and i ain't saying that bcuz i'm a yankees fan too). but if u look at their stats, they r really good! that's the reason most ppl don't like them! but anways, yes i think they can catch them.

The Red Sox appear to be collapsing and one of those teams is obviously going to end up in the playoffs. I (choke) have to say its going to be the Yankees.
I do, however believe that either of those teams will be humiliated in the playoffs.

They might catch the Sox. I'd love to see the Sox keep the lead, but they've been scaring me lately, especially when they were in NY.
