ok i put an airstone in their which cleared up the film on the top of the water but now i see these little tiny white things that are jumping around close to the sides of the tank. so i took the turtles out because of these things. what are they and how do i get rid of them? will they hurt my turtles if i put them back in?

They are probably water fleas.They won't hurt your turtles,and in fact,the turtles may eat them.

im sorry to tell you yet your a grandparent those little white issues are eggs and in case you think of that your turtle is a woman and there is not any adult males in the tank keep in mind that on the puppy save the turtle improve into in a tank with adult males and probs have been given pregnant, yet whilst your turtle is a male then ya its probs sperm

tammy is right I dought your turtle will eat themyou can try fishing them out with a net or take 91% alcohol and carefully and slow ly pour it by the mites then set the alcohol on fire this will fry the bugs and wont't harm the turtles which you should remove when doing this because the alcohol will burn it self untill only the by product(water) will be left or you could do a water change to be safe. They won't hurt your turtles but their annoying

need more information. How big, When did you notice them, and are they multiplying? There are some parasites that are harmless and others that are harmful. get some out and take a magnifying glass and look at them. It could be nothing.Let us know.
