One thing I know. There's a type of cigarette that has a pack with 3 red Ks on it (not sure which brand) and the dude who owns the company is supposed to be the Grand High Wizard or whatever of the KKK.

the kkk is far more political these days.
they rally at conventions, as if they are socially acceptable or something. passing out litature.
they try to weasel into mainstream media
computers only aid to there sad message. infact they are growing much larger in the northern states.
they love president bush and conservitive values adjenda

I don't know much about them but I will still try to answer your question, they are around still but they are much,much less active.Or if they are active there active somewhere else because you don't hear about them in the north.They are religous oriented, mostly protestant and don't like certain other races and used to try to dress up as ghosts to scare them off.I don't think they dress up in modern day though.And, I think they are allowed to still have there own party's in America today too, not to act out but probably to discuss and/or complain about there opinions.I'm not sure but, I don't see why they wouldn't, the nazi's and communist's do.
