There is nothing wrong with finding a date on the internet. I heard a really great discussion about this on the radio recently. The suggestion was to make sure you don't spend a lot of time chatting on the internet before meeting because you will get an idea in your head of what the person is like and may be disappointed when they are different, even if they are a really great person. Also, remember that you are meeting a stranger and make sure people know where you are going, meet in public, etc.

Every other girl I've met online had social problems that prevented her from being picked up in real life or sustaining a relationship. Unless you have social disorders as well, I'd reccomend finding people in real life.

I know several people personally that have met someone online with whom they've gotten happily married.
