Looking around the Eureka Ca. area up to around Brookings Or. I've heard crime/drugs are bad in Eureka?
Which state has better job potential? Are they about the same as far as cost of living and state taxes?

Those area is sleepy area, not so many opportunities. Only Goverment, school, tourism or service job. Many hippies, artists live there, very quiet area,95% residents are white, it used to be log, fishing industry, now they are gone. Living cost there is very low compared in other part of coast.

I had a friend that lived in San Jose, Ca. She liked it. There are alot of jobs there and it is low crime.
