the 60's were the beginning of a movement that world peace was only a part. The idea of questioning authority was new and exciting and the music was the expression of these ideas. For these reasons I vote for the 60's The seventies changed more to sex, drugs(as a party and escapism) and rock&roll for it's sake alone. This progressed into 80's and 90's materialism and shock value proving the sentiment of the 60's simply to be naive. I still listen and occassionally feel the innocent hope and freedom of that era. In fact I'm gonna go sit on the front deck and listen to Janis and Big Brother right now. Thanks T4

I was raising my children during the 50's 60's and 70's so I didnt get to listen to a lot of my kind of music. I really got rolling during the 80's. The moral of this story is-dont space your children too far apart.

The 60's--you couldn't have had the 70's without them it was the decade of breaking down barriers, challenging the status qou, and experimentation it paved the road for all that came next.

70's, I love punk rock, Blondie and pretty much everything that happened in that decade. Then again the 60's seem pretty awesome too, I bet Woodstock was a blast.
