Is love real or imagined? If you believe something strong enough, is it real or just real because you believed it? Reality is in the proof---creation proves a creator regardless of evolutionary idea's which are a religion of naturalism. The search for God and his meaning in our lives is one that needs to be taken on faith and proof.
Personally, I believe that God of the Bible is the one, true God of the universe being of three equal persons....The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Not just to have faith because someone told me to but to examine the evidence for his existence and his effect on this world and my life.

We don't, actually most organized religions have been discredited. We know how religion first evolved, it was not monotheistic. Religion first evolved as polytheistic to explain natural weather phenomena that baffled early man. Monotheistic religions are actually quite new to their pantheistic and polytheistic counterparts. Not to mention there has never been any reason to give any more credibility to any God of any of the thousands of religions over any other archetype that could come out of the human mind.

What surprises me more than how people can rationalize many of the deitys that have been discredited in modern times, is why they would want to. Many of the Gods created by man, with none a better example of the contemporary Abrahamic faiths, represent Gods that make many of the dictators of our times look like boyscouts.

Religion has always been based on little more than culture. Around 3/4 of the global population, wherever they are born, choose their adult religion based on which their parents followed, though many change denominations. Child indoctrination is highly psychological, and a viscious cycle.

Try this read all the prophecies in the Bible and there are quiet a few from cover to cover . Then look at today and see what has happened since 1948 . That's when Israel became a nation , but who ever thought it would happen . Then take a close look at what is coming at us and what is told in the bible / Then realize it was written over 2000 yrs ago by men . So what would have inspired them . How would they know they could hear and see the news around the world in secs . .

Please read the great Greek Philosopher Plato. He asked a question called the Uncaused First Cause. This proves that there is a God. And it should be noted that Plato had no known contacts with monotheistic religion.

I will warn athiests however, this question is very difficult and throughout history it has converted many, as well as completely disillusioned others.

Well, I was always a very scientific type person--you have to show me! There are many reasons why we cannot "see" God!

When God appeared to Moses, he was instructed to turn around, I believe--The reason I believe is that God is very very bright--humans possibly could disintegrate beholding his Glory! I remember when Moses came down from the mountain his hair was white and he was glowing--

The Bible says that there are mysterys that will not be revealed until later for us!

It is a faith thing--you just need faith and to believe! There is power in faith and also in the word of God

I do believe this to be truth!

I pray to God and I believe.

Another thing--I believe in the Bible--Look at History--so many have tried to destroy the bible--but no one ever has been able to do that---it continues to exist--I think it was Hitler who tried to destroy all the bibles but was unable to do so! It is very powerful--

Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer--before going into surgery, I claimed and had faith in a lot of scriptures having to do with sickness and God's word to overcome it!

When I woke up in the recovery room--there was no pain only some soreness! I believe it was God working on my behalf!

My suggestion is that you pray and ask God to reveal himself to you--you may not see him physically, but you become more aware of him working through others on your behalf--or you may become attuned more to him!

I hope you come to the realization of his existence--for He is wonderful and so very loving! His power is phenomenal! This is all my belief--but

Also, you may want to visit a Christian bookstore and get some self study bible studies to help you understand his word! He is awesome! I will keep you in my prayers!

God is a spirit however God did send his Son into the world for us to behold!

well, do you mean "god" or "a god"

we will never know what or who, or if there is this "god" that we generally think about.

However, if you think about how complex everything is on earth, and in the universe, you will realize that "somebody" had to create it. I will never believe all of this just kinda happened on it's own!!

i don't "really need to know" God works in my life and gives me strength and happyness and grants almost all my prayers. if he does not answer my prayers then i know that i am not supposed to have what i asked for or he is working it into my life so that i can have it. I just love my Lord.. Jesus is my best friend And I Am Proud To Say I Am A Christian
