I have homecoming next week, and I'm afraid I'm going to be on my period. Are there any things that you can do to speed the period process up?

nope. if you were on the pill, you would have more control. you would have two options:

1) don't take the sugar pills in the current pack. instead skip it and take active pills from the next pack instead.

2) if you had two weeks, instead of one, stop taking the pills mid-pack, which will trigger your period and you will be off of it by the time homecoming rolled around.

it is safe to take the pill without getting a period (no sugar pills taken) for 3 months doctors say. i've known brides who used pill manipulation to avoid their period on their honeymoon. i took the pill in 3-month chunks w/o taking the placebo pills to only have 4 periods a year. my obgyn said this was safe.

if you are on birth control start taking your period pills instead of the others- it will make it come faster. However, you will have to deal with the possibility of having a screwed up cycle the following two months- plus, if you are sexually active it could be less effective during those two months.
Otherwise there is no way to speed it up. Sorry! I hate it when it comes at inopportune times.

Nope sorry it sucks same problem it comes when it comes. If it hasn't come before the homecoming when you go put a tampon or pad on just in case!

cold shower, flight of stairs, insane amounts of caffeine and I mean LOTS!! Uuuummm, try to inhale the sweat of another mensturating female, it contains pheromones and stuff, and for some reason, this usually works..This person was using progesterone..but it's hormones, so be careful!!

NO there is nothing you can do this soon.

Bring some tampons and enjoy the dance!

Don't let your period run your life.
