By using computers, the Federal government found out over 8 million undocumented people are illegally using Americans' social security numbers.

The ACLU and unions sued to stop the U.S. government from sending out letters to employers of I.D. thieves. The letters tell the employer they either need fire the I.D. thieves, or send the correct social security numbers to the government.

"Audra Schmierer's Social Security number really gets around. It has been used by at least 81 people in 17 states, most of them probably illegal immigrants" http://www.socialsecuritythief.com/

To TG:
The ACLU must think undocumented people have the right to commit I.D. theft. They seem to care more about undocumented people than Americans. This is from the ACLU website.
"The rule VIOLATES WORKERS RIGHTS and imposes burdensome obligations on employers who receive Social Security Administration (SSA) "no-match" letters..." http://www.aclu.org/immigrants/workplace/31494prs20070829.html

I have no idea why they would want to stop this. I know a lot of dead beat dads use the wrong social security numbers too. At least my sister's ex husband did and he's an American, a white republican American as a matter of fact. Oh that's right, Democrats are for father's taking responsibility for their kids and making them pay child support too. I don't suppose the ACLU and the Unions are against that too? Maybe there is a conspiracy?
If there really are over 8 million undocumented people working in these companies, how would these companies run if they had to fire all these people at once? They may say that they are doing it for immigrants rights, but it's about the money. Can you imagine what it would be like to open your doors for the day and only two guys out of two hundred show up? Well, your not opening that day are you, or the next, or maybe even the next day. Housing is horrendous already too. Although it would drive down the prices of houses even more if there was a mass exodus of illegal immigrants, thereby making it more affordable for the rest of us, it would be devastating to the market if they all left at once. I don't mind, but your big corporations will, and whatever you may think about ACLU or unions, it's still all about the money.

Well, the ACLU hasn't succeeded yet!

Three weeks ago, while performing a pre-employment drug screen for a company, I was handed a teal green social security card...and get this...the number was typed with a pica setting on a typewriter. So obviously a fake.

Sure enough, when I went back the next week, there was a form on the employers desk questioning the validity of the SS card...

At least one has been busted!!

The ACLU must as a rule pick the least popular and most controversial plaintiffs available. Protecting the right to steal identities is pretty low.

The unions just want the bodies to work. If they are here illegally, that just means they have a captive workforce. The 21st century slave trade is in full swing!

Stealing someone's identify is theft. The ACLU is trying to promote this criminal behavior. Shouldn't they be charged with being an accessory to a crime?

How about obstruction of justice?

How about interference in a Federal investigation?

If an individual committed any of these acts, he'd be summarily thrown in jail. Let's teach these ACLU dolts they aren't above the law just because they have deep pockets.

It's really crazy. The unions would lose many of the workers and the ACLU... Well, we don't even have to go there.

Here's a question that's related that I had asked some time back. This is a true eye-opener!

Oh gosh..don't even get me started. The ACLU is a total joke. They care more about "undocumented" people from other countries than our own citizens. I think that the letters from the government to employers would be great. Isn't it ironic that the government threatens employers who hire illegal immigrants with fines..but now they can't even notify the employers OF ID THEIVES/ ILLEGALS?? Hmm....I think the ACLU needs a reality check

Oh and TG..where do you get YOUR news...from TMZ.com??

I don't care what the ACLU or Unions say as both are scum.

The "remedy" for identity theft (Real ID act) would consolidate everyone's personal records in one database.

That makes it a one-stop shop for identity thieves to hack in and steal everyone's identity in one shot.

This does nothing but make massive scale identity theft easier to pull off. No network is absolutely secure.

Get the picture now?

I can’t really figure out what the hell the ACLU stand for, but I wish they’d all just get on that express train to hell that is waiting for them. That group has caused more problems in this country than all others combined. I have no doubts at all that the ultimate goal of the ACLU is complete Anarchy.

It's not really much of a question. As a rule, the ACLU takes the wrong side of every issue every time.
