All Saints Day is the day after Halloween. even yet it isn't the devils birthday. I continually went trick or treating and alter into raised in Christian abode. There are some religions that don't have fun holiday trips. perhaps that's the place the confusion has are available in.

No, I don't think thats true. I've done a lot of research on religions and such and well yea. Its a pagan celebration that a lot of christians have turned into something bad(no offense to anyone). Its when the veiol between the two worlds(living and dead) is thinnest. A great time to feel closer to your dead relatives and such. I personally call it All Hallow's Eve like it was called in the past. There are other things that people say Halloween is, for example, some people also believe that on Halloween demons come out and dressing up as scarier monsters will frighten them off. I personally go with the pagans. I lost myself in the question, lol. I hope I helped....

I know exactly what your lil sis is going through. I went to a christian school myself. They think halloween is the devils day because pagans believed spirits came back to earth on halloween which has nothing to do with the devil. Tell your lil sis it's ok and have fun oct 31st!

Well Halloween isn't the "devil's b-day", but a ton of my christian friends aren't allowed to go trick or treating or pretty much anywhere on Halloween. Probably because it was a Pagan holiday and christians used to despise Pagans. Though I personally don't know because I am an atheist.

Halloween was orginally a Celtic pagan festival that celebrated the harvest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samhain They did slaughter animals, but it was because there wasn't enough food to feed all of them, so they killed the extra ones and ate the meat over the winter when nothing grew, so the healthiest livestock and the villagers would survive until spring. It actually had nothing to do with the devil, because the Celts weren't Christian, so they had never heard of the devil or God. It was simply a harvest festival, that's it.

And where do they get this information? It is certainly not in the bible. Some people just don't like halloween. They will come up with any excuse they can find to bash it. To most people, halloween is not a religious holiday. It is a fun night where people can get candy and maybe get a little scared by something. A lot of people like to feel a little fear that night or get creeped out by something. Some people just don't like it and they do not want anyone else to like it either. So they come up with goofy stuff like this and try to make people be scared of halloween itself. Just ignore them.

Some people claim it is a pagan holiday and they do not support pagan holidays. Well, if you get down to it, christmas and easter are both pagan holidays. Some people just want to pick and choose what holidays mean what.

Umm... no thats not true!! A long time ago people dressed up in scary costumes to try to scare the evil spirits away (because they thought thats when they came out). And then everything else like candy and pumpkins was just added to it.

Some believe it's the Devil's holiday or just seems to be too much about death and evil but I have never heard it's his birthday. No one knows when he was created by God, the Bible doesn't give dates.

It's NOT 'the Devil's birthday", that's for sure....

It dates back to "all Hallow's Eve", a celebration of the dead. Although some extremist Christians consider it evil, most think its harmless fun for kids.

Good grief don't take it so serious it's just a fun day to be enjoyed and to have a good reason to just communicate with the wider world. If some feel that it is something so sinister they do not need to be involved or spoil it for others !
