If you worked there, you'd know the smiley's been gone in spirit for some time now.
Mr Sam's gone. His ways are going away. His kids care for nothing but their own pocketbook.

after all the attacks the undisputed #1 retailer has had to endure...I have no doubt it should be a frown. I often wonder why if Walmart is so evil...why do people shop there? Maybe because they are the most competitive in pricing and they don't buy into the nanny state philosopy. If you don't like what they pay you don't have to work there. I really like the 4.00 prescriptions that everyone else can suddenly do, and the clinics in the store for about 25% of the cost of a doctor's visit...awesome! Don't let Costgo or Target or any other retailer fool you...they will do ANYTHING to be number one. Americans need to find the can do spirit we used to have and stop trying to wreck business for spite. Maybe finish school and you wouldn't have to work for Walmart cash!

A better, truer place, in my opinion.
What was a huge corporation like Wal-Mart and its associates doing with the smiley face anyway?
It was luring ever more people in the door who like the face and think it means Wal-Mart only has our welfare at heart, I think. An untruth if I ever heard one!
