I want a desciption before you launch into any explanation or justification of your description of what a morally good person is.

I always try to extend the answer period to my Q's and that leaves room for improvements to your A. Barring unforeseen events, I try always to pick the BA.

A human infant being nursed by his/her mother who is crooning a lullaby is an example of two morally good people. Two people who have a deep reciprocal love for one another; so deep it may be the most intense love two people can feel. I won't justify it other than to say that is how we all started out our life and learning.

A morally good person is someone who knows right from wrong. Someone that has reason, and thinks before they do. Their role in life is a leader and they have a clever mentality. Rules are their foundation however they know when rules should or should not be broken. The values they have should be ethical and appropriate. They are role models to all.

Being "moral" is highly subjective based on a variety of factors. Personal, family, community and social issues combined form what constitutes our sense of right and wrong. A moral person is generally one who chooses "right action" over wrong action. However, what constitutes moral behaviour is different in each culture and has been different over time. Even religions have changed over time so that what was once moral or immoral has been changed to accommodate social change.

Most people fail to distinguish those beliefs, values, attitudes, etc. that they have learned or adapted from others. This is entirely separate from our own judgments of right and. If a friend has ever done something that hurt you or made you angry, that was a personal moral offense based on your personal view point of "right and wrong".

Philosophies as well are no different in terms of ethics or "how we should live our lives?" Buddhism, for example, has "right" ways of thinking, acting and behaving. They also have the "right" way of approaching information and thinking about the world.

Morals are different for different people for me I would never have an abortion I believe in God I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. I think we should help one another I think we should show empathy as well as sympathy.

That is my moral character, however, there are many others who are wonderful, moral people may do different than me so I think morals are based on the way your were raised and your religion and where you grew up.

It is not for us to judge others morals.

Wicca offers a wonderful golden rule "do as you will so long as it harms none." not saying that only wiccans do but that is the one religion i know of that has peace as THE major guideline and few exceptions to the rule.

In actuality, you can't describe what a morally good person is. Why? Because we do not know the actual DEFINITION of "morally good." What we do know, and what most people in yahoo answers will tell you is what "morally good" means to us, in today's society. These humanistic ideals (beauty, good, fine, virtuous) are things all defined by society. We can never know what they truly mean because we don't know what it THE beauty is, THE good, THE fine (or absolutes). Of course we can venture guesses to have a better understanding of it.
