When you DIVIDE by a fraction, you express it as MULTIPLYING by it's inverse. In your example, 96 DIVIDED BY -⅔ is 96 MULTIPLIED BY 3/-2. Therefore 96 TIMES 3 DIVIDED BY -2 = -144
(Remember that because the fraction is a negative number, the answer becomes negative)
