it feels like a "happy" chemical has been released. is there any scientific evidence to back this up?

Don't worry about it. I feel the same way. Just bask in the after-lust. It's a totally normal thing.

I don't know about the scientific side of it but isn't the feeling wonderful? Enjoy it and stop worrying as to what is normal and what isn't. No two people are the same so it stands to reason that we react differently to things. I think at heart, most people would wish for a little bit of your 'happy chemical'.

Yes, the thoughts are normal... it the action that isn't. Sweetie, you are hormonal and you are going to go from thinking boys are discusting to being totally dreamy about them. I have a 13 year old son and his body has been changing since he was nine and his hormones are crazy. He gets all the thoughts and feelings and I continue to educate him so he knows all the consequenses to having sex at a young age. Try to talk to your mom about these feelings, she has probably been waiting for this conversation for years. There isn't anything on this planet that your mom shouldn't want to discuss with you about yourself. And everything that you are going through now she went through herself. She even made out with her pillow, or arm, at some point and if you open the door for her she will let you in and give you some insight to what this part of your life means and what to expect. Best Wishes!

Sexual satisfaction is a blessed thing; yes it is perfectly normal. It is the icing on the cake of good relationships based upon friendship and socio-economic compatibilty. Unfortunately, as evidenced by so many single moms, too many put the icing on relationships before there is any real cake.

Yes, pages and pages of it! It is also normal to feel this way after exercise, so I would imagine it is more related to physical exertion than the sex.
