I take the bus to school in the morning.
My busdriver forces us (( her first stop )) to leave the first four rows open.
Is that legal?
Just making sure it is.
Because if isn't, I would do something about it.

This is slightly off-topic, but there's a baby seat in the first row.
There's no baby in it, BUT, my friend said on her bus there IS a baby in it.
Our buses do NOT have seatbelts and such.
Does anyone have any idea WHY we have an empty babyseat on the bus? & Why the hell my friend's busdriver is so damned unsafe with her kid? =/

If it matters, i'm in high school.

& thanks about the driver thingie.
The babyseat thing is still so iffy to me though. =/
There are pregnant girls in my school, but, they don't bring their kids to school.

The seat choice makes no difference to me.
But it annoys the hell out of me that it takes LONGER to do this process, than the usual, "just get on the bus and go" process.

Ick, Vince, I feel bad for you.
Kindergarteners are the worse, I'd say.
The HSers on my bus are pretty tame actually. It's the ghetto kids in the back of the bus who are loud as hell. (( i'm not kidding. Most of us are trying to catch some extra Z's. ))

oh well. nothing I can do about it.

But no one honestly has any idea WHY my bus & possibly others, would have an empty baby seat?

sorry but in high school you have very limited constitutional rights as such the school in this situation is free to allow the bus driver to assign seating on the bus, it is no different then assigned seating in a class room

on the baby seat it could be a moving violation if their is a child in the seat and it is not secured properly as outlined by law

About the baby seat... I wonder if there are any students that ride those buses that have babies? Some schools share the buses with other districts. So, even if it's not in your school maybe there is a girl who takes her baby to on-campus child care on the bus. Because there IS a law that requires small kids to be in seats, maybe that is why the baby seat is there: so the bus can be in compliance with the child-seat laws and not delay any students by making the baby's mother and baby wait or go find a baby seat or another means to get to school.

I used to drive a forty foot school bus. Every day, twice a day, I hauled sixty or seventy screaming, jumping kindergarteners. I would have LOVED the luxury of keeping even a single row, empty, behind me.

There is no legal issue, here. Perhaps, as one person suggested, the driver is trying to minimize distractions while driving.

As far is the "extra time" it may take to load and unload from the bus, I suggest the extra few seconds it may take is not worth the effort of worrying about it.

I don't know about the baby seat. But the bus driver probably wants the first four rows empty so she can concentrate on her driving, not the kids on the bus.

If this is adequate for you, then advantageous. now's a stable time to check approximately being detached to work out tension. they may well be adults, yet while they're pressuring you, a newborn, to do some thing you and that they comprehend unlawful and probably very risky with out perfect justification, they may well be carrying out themselves in an extremely irresponsible way. I make an apology on the behalf of adults everywhere. a lot of them are nonetheless in basic terms reckless infants in spite of their age. Alcohol is advantageous while used heavily. In small quantities, it could make you experience comfortable and euphoric. There are valid reasons for eating. besides the undeniable fact that, for individuals are no longer careful with it, they do no longer instruct themselves with regard to the various alcohol stages and how it outcomes your physique and for a fashion long. they do no longer instruct capability of will many times while employing it. it is why it is risky it is why a fifteen 12 months previous, who remains naive adequate to ask this question, shouldn't drink by employing regulation. you should very actual harm your self and others with alcohol. you realize this. I'm sure leaving the first four rows open is just fine. That whole baby and baby seat thing though ... That's insane. I'd be contacting the school board.

Sounds like a control freak, or possibly optimising the weight distribution for fast cornering.
If which seat you use on the school bus is your greatest worry you must have a truly idyllic life.
