for those that don't understand why the nooses infuriated people it's because back during the times of Slavery, and Post-intergation..black people where hung for precieved crimes or just for being black...women, children and men sometimes whole families people white people would take pictures of these people swinging from the ends of trees..for those that don't know..

i haven't been following this story, but my thinking is YES the kids should get in terrible trouble for beating another almost to death. the victim is in a coma and may not ever fully recover. i think maybe the 'march' that they are having should be less about 'race' and more about 'what the heck can we do about our society, and how we treat eachother'

Mychal Bell wasn't sentenced yet. So we can't say that his sentence was unjust or unreasonable. All six should be punished. Violence is never the answer. Mr. Bell was also on probation. Yes hanging a noose in a tree is racist and hurtful and I certainly don't agree with it. I don't know if it's a crime because I'm not a lawyer. But we can not allow our emotions and other's racism to cause us to attack or commit crimes. It's not okay. I can understand the hurt and anger but I alone am responsible for my actions. Those six fellows must be responsible for their actions. This whole controversy is creating more and more racism. Why can't we have rallies for people to get to know each other and accept each other's races. We can all learn to love one another. We certainly shouldn't be teaching hate. And I feel that's what's being taught right now is hate. Good luck. 2D

WHat??? What you saw on TV was not even half the truth. The black boy thaT WAS being taunted by the white boys was beat up so worse at the party. The cops didn't do anything. The principle though he was dead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuoiZnr4jLY

A gun was also pulled on them, they defended themselves and took the gun and ran off. The police charge the blacks with theft of the gun.

The Jena six should do some time, but do you realize that they did not start any of it, and the severity of the sentence is what has me baffled. what they did was absolutely stupid, they need to be punished, not so severely, though. seriously.
Free The Jena Six.
