A) I tell them straight up my honest opinion and they know I'm going to do it so they usually don't ask my opinion unless they're prepared for the truth.

I don't go around butting into people's lives so I don't give out opinions casually. Though, honestly, I have the worst poker face on the planet so when my friend tells me he's dating this welfare mother with 2 brats that won't behave and an ex-husband who sometimes lives with her because he's dying, I'm sure he could read from my expression what I was thinking even though I didn't verbalize an opinion.

I tell people the honest opinion because even though people do not want to hear it . To keep your self respect and integrity the truth is always the answer. You may not have as many fans or friends but you will have better ones . If you tell them only what they want to hear, you will have to keep lying living a lie and if you tell the truth you will probably lose their friendship but it has no really foundation so it would be no loss. If you lose the friendship by taking option A then it is a monumental loss.

If someone asks your opinion that should mean they are willing to hear your true opinion. I usually say something like, "Do you really want to know what I think about (a) your new boyfriend, (b) that hat! (c) the candidate you didn't vote for?" Fortunately, few of my friends are the type who would fly off the handle. But I'm not a female and neither are my friends. Females have to be handled differently.

I tell them straight up but in a tactful way of course as I am way to honest to tell them a lie just because it's what they want to hear. Plus I would want them to be honest with me as well. Plus if I lie to them then I would be hurting them in the long run and I don't want the guilt of hurting them in the long run on my conscience.

I tell them my opinion be it helpful or honest or both. I love my friends dearly and they expect no less then the absolute truth. That's why they ask me!!!

I am honest and it has got me several times. One time my friend even went home and changed her pants because she asked me if they made her booty look big and I said, " Well yea, kind of." She was mad for a while and went home and changed but later she said at least she knew she could trust me.

Tell it straight up, if they were confident about something my friends wouldn't ask me in the first place.
