I think it is classic, if a teensy bit on the boring side. Still, I personally like a bit boring myself! It'll be a good name for a guy of any age, from a toddler to a grandpa.

It's a fine name. It isn't terribly exciting, but your son will (probably) never roll his eyes and say "Why did you name me Nick?" Plus, if your last name is a humdinger, you're better off with something simple.
