Preferably, it would be nice if there was a location like this near a large body of water (ocean, large river or lake). I'm hoping there is something like this in Latin America or South America, but I'd like to hear about any places that might fit the bill. It would be fine if there was only snow for part of the year. And it would also be fine if there was simply dense jungle (tropical or not). Links to pictures would be appreciated, if possible.

Many, try Ecuador or Peru.

Or if you want a temperate rainforest, right here in Vancouver Canada.

I don't have your answer exactly, but Lugano or Ticino Switzerland fits somewhat. I have a picture from a hotel window I took where palm trees are outside my hotel room, overlooking a lake, and on the backside of the lake you can see the snow capped alps. Very impressive.
