Im Have Bioshock For PC.

At the moment i have Windows XP, and of course, DX9.

I can run Bioshock on Max Settings all over with my PC.

What im wondering, I want DX10. Will i still be able to run them on my Max settings.
Because i dont know how much DX10 needs to preform.

Specs:
Intel Pentium D 950 (3.4ghz x2)
2GB Patriot DDR2 RAM 667mhz
Nvidia 8600GT 256MB

Please, No answers like "Dont get Vista" and "Pentium D's are Cráp". Because i know... I know about computers. But i just want to know how much 'Power' DX10 needs really.

Cheers!

I am currently running the MSI GeForce 8600 GT (Over Clocked) card on a stock Lenova PC I purchased from Sam's Club. Your processor (with a quick check at Tom's Hardware guide) seems to out perform mine and you have double the memory that I have. I'm running MS Windows Vista Premium and the video card is performing very well. I have the settings all the way up to play World of Warcraft and I get 60 fps.

The 8600GT (at least the OC edition) is a great buy in my opinion, at least for the price/performance I was willing to go with.

I couldn't find any specifications to reference but at least for the game I'm playing, it performs very well. I did disable the Aero desktop setting earlier when I was trying to use the on-board graphics capabilities with the Lenova system. I still need to re-enable that with the new card, but I'm pretty sure performance won't change with DX10.
