the only reason I wonder about who to play is becuase I dont know who has a good defense
i'd like to know about teams secondary, linebackers, d line
so i would know whether to play a running back against a team or a reciever or qb

You can try Fantasy Football rankings. In Yahoo's, defenses are done by team instead of by individuals.
This won't give you the specifics you asked for, but it may be a good starting point.
