You have to have a desire happiness first. Without hope there's nothing. You mentioned a partner. A partner is with you to make all those hopes and dreams to become a reality. I have never been with out a partner in my life. Happiness comes within yourself. No partner can make it happen overnight. But with a partner you can work together to make it a desirable reality. The most essential thing in my life is to make us both happy and enjoy what we have. You have to lastly love yourself in order to have a great relationship.

I don't think (at this point in my life) there is a partner.

nor do i believe that I need to have hope that there will be one.

you have to be content with one's self before a partner merges in your life. I am content. If it happens that love finds me, then so be it. But, not one to "day dream" about it or look for hopes in it either.

The essential thing in my life is my own self content.
