I saw this question in here and I was irritated:

Why is this generation of girls so useless?

Yeppp.. a whole generation of useless, cheap wh*res.
Walk into a high school or even middle school and see the little teenyboppers trying to be them. Disgusting, if you ask me.
They give ordinary women a bad reputation... and of course, men are to blame, for the most part. They like to feel "in control" and subconciously a part of them still view women solely as pleasure instruments.
And here we are, trying to change the chauvinistic view of the world.

Sigh.

Close down the soro-wh*re houses, teach SELF-RESPECT to girls in high school, and stop idolizing such useless pieces of flesh as Britney Spears and the crowd : that's what society should be doing.

If you went to high school in the US, you know how the self-respecting girls are laughed at, and the slutty, demeanor-wise-ugly, PROTOTYPE (thin, fake blond, unbelievably straight hair, too-expensive-for-high-schooler-budget-clothes, heels etc) girls are adored.

Very very boring and disgusting.

Perhaps the two you've mentioned do not represent a whole generation....but then why is that generation doing what they can to imitate and be like them? The young girls I see today are self absorbed...they don't extend themselves for others, and are more concerned with how they look and what clothing statements they are making than making the world a better place - for themselves and others. So what does that say? Perhaps the word 'useless' was a harsh one...but it does demonstrate the feeling that those of us from another generation see when we look at them.

They are icons of current pop culture and they are both poster girls for the politics in U.S culture over the last 7 years and just like Bush and his ilk they are has-beens fading fast...

Brittany represents Bush's "were country" constituents the ones that believe he is a real cowboy the ones he done fooled.

Paris represents the real Bush, blue blood motha fucka C -average bOught his wAy into an ivy league scHool uSeLess iDiot...just like hEr a riCh, spOiled, useLess brAt neVer hAving to own up to anyThing, but these are the people who have really benefited from the last 7 years.

but hey it will all be over very soon

People usually see what's around them. So if people think there are too many Parises and Brits, they are only speaking of the ratio of these women they see in their circle. While there will always be young men and women who look up to bad role models and imitate accordingly, this does not represent the majority of today's women. The good news is that women are stronger, more independent, more outspoken and daring to display their intelligence more than before, so there are great reasons for you to smile Miss Sigy- no need to be irritated!

Britney Spears. i have my reasons. 1# i believe that she isn't a bad person or a complete nuthead. 2# I was her fan 3 years ago && thats not changing. 3# && theres much more to her than people protray. Nobody talks about her success in the past year but they dash her out for every little thing she does tell me how many average people in America has done most of the things she has done???

There are more girls from this generation with the Britney and Paris mind set than any other generation. They may not represent all women their age, but they represent more women their age than women of other ages.

No they don't represent a whole generation. They are just 2 girls.
LMAO Anax! Are you saying that this generation of women are nothing but spoiled evil women who get kicks out of driving over the homeless folk?

And you know what? She's right. Our parents all watched the march on the 1950s views and watched them be changed, yet most women fail to appreciate it and assume we were always "equal". And sorry, but most of the people I see at my school are in the Brit and Paris section.

Sorry to disagree. But they're right.

lord, no. two spoiled rich girls who have people cater to their whims don't represent the typical american girl/young woman. the rest of us have responsibilities and mommy & daddy don't bail us out of trouble by cutting a check. we have to take care of our children rather than hiring an endless cycle of nannies. we have jobs and don't get swag, free trips, and free clothes. we have to pay for things. so, by definition, two idiots or even two genius can't be representative of a group that is nothing like them. at the most, they are representative of other spoiled, pampered, celebutards.
