My brother in law is convinced this was a set up, and that Fred Goldman bankrolled the whole thing. Could this even be remotely possible?

No, OJ was not framed by the Goldmans. He may have been set up but if he was it was by one of his buddies that he probably had disrespected. It wouldn't surprise me because OJ appears to not have any respect for anyone.

Who knows. It is kind of fishy that there is an audio recording of the whole thing, apparently edited and sold to TSG.
If that was the case, he was set up by someone. So it could be someone out to avenge his killing of his wife and Ron Goldman, or it could be someone looking to make a name for themselves, who knows.
If that's the case, then Fred Goldman is a possibility.
Far fetched, but not beyond the course of reason.

No the Goldmans had nothing to do with this. OJ may have trait common to other criminals a strong desire to get caught.

Yea, he was set up but that is his fault for trusting people that he thinks are his friends!! whtie america has been after him ever since he was cleared.
The goldmans and browns are written all over this stupid deal that o.j. has gotten into.

No, they weren't framed. The guy probably recorded it so he could sell it to the media and make money, which is probably what he did, either that, or the tape was seized by the cops.
