Any time you want really. I know a lady that keeps hers up year round lol. But, it depends on if its fake or real. I would say the day after thanksgiving. But, in your situation I would put it up the middle of November just so you can focus on more important things when the baby is due. But, if this is your first pregnancy dont worry you can do normal things right up until you have the baby. So not really a big deal. I had my daughter nov 23rd and I had my christmas tree up the end of oct. just to get it done with lol.

This was me last year!! My son was born the day before Thanksgiving, and like you, I knew that I did not want to take on that task after he was born. Believe it or not, we put it up the first weekend (sat.) in November! It didn't seem weird at all!! We loved it and it really put us in the holiday spirit! I don't know about where you live, but where I live, they start playing Christmas music on the main radio stations starting on November 1st!! Crazy, but I love Christmas, so it doesn't annoy me!
I say put it up early, and don't freak out when you take everything out like I did. My husband had to promise me that everything would be clean before we went to bed that night, and it was. He's great. I also finished my Christmas shopping before I had my son. It was such a relief! You will love having your tree up when you bring your baby home. IT felt even more heavenly and even though he was just two days old, it felt magical and super special to show him his home for the first time with it all decorated for Christmas. Life is so good.....

Put out your decorations whenever you want to. Remember, thought, you have to look at them for a LOOONG time. Do you have a permanent tree or a real tree? You may want to wait a while before putting up the real tree. It can dry out and become a fire hazard.
If you're up to it, I would say the middle of November should be o.k. Will you be able to enlist the help of friends and family to put up your tree and decorations if you want to wait a little longer?
Congrats on the new baby! Have a great holiday!

I'd say go with the old "do it after Thanksgiving". You don't have to worry about Thanksgiving preparations, right? And you're not due 'til December 8th, so I think the day after Thanksgiving is cool.

I used to keep mine up all year in a corner of a hallway in my old bungalow style artsy craftsy type house. Now I keep it outside, growing, until right after Thanksgiving is over.

The absolute earliest would be the day after Christmas -- assuming that you are looking forward to the NEXT Christmas! You might be out of step, but what's the matter with celebrating Christmas every day?

My wife and I put it up over the Thanksgiving weekend. no one has taken any offense to it, and if they do, screw 'em, it's my house and I like Christmas!
