Okay I did ask this question a couple days ago, though now it's more relevant and I only got one opinion last time. My doctor prescribed me Provera to start my period because they have been getting longer (anovulatory I think). So she gave me a prescription for 10 days worth and said I would start my period a couple days after the last pill. Well I have taken 6 pills and am now on day 2 of my period. I am unsure if I should continue taking them, or if I don't need to since I've already started. I tried to call her but she is not in the office today (surgery day) and I can't find any similar situation on the net. I am not sure if having "extra" progesterone in my system would screw up my chances of ovulating this cycle? Should I continue the pills or stop? Anyone have any experience with this?

I did this before too - I think you can stop. I would call the pharmacy to know for sure - they are usually GREAT for questions like this. It's been so long that I had to take it - I can't remember! Call your pharmacist and I'm sure they can tell you!
Best Wishes!

I know you're just looking for some women who can relate and share their stories, but you should just make a call to the Dr's office that prescribed it to you and ask. A simple call, the person who answers can ask your doctor, and call you back.

Good luck hun!!
