Like treating yourself to a manicure, pedicure, new hair do, new clothes/shoes?

yes it does i have NEVER been depressed but ive helped my friend get undepressed and treating her to a day at the spa got her out of her misery and everyone kept on complimenting her and that boosted up he confidence!

When I am down and depressed I am usually too low to do anything like that although I know it would help. When Im like that I just throw any old clothes on and thats it. I must admit though that manicures etc are great mood lifters

yep sometimes taking a hot shower & getting all fixed up makes me feel better........ I love manicures & pedicures I try to do that every few wks :)

Yes! It makes me feel a lot better! When I look raggedy, I don't feel too good about myself! I usually fix myself up! I don't have the money to pay someone else to do it for me!

When I'm down and depressed, I usually go shopping for clothes.
Or I just hang out here on Y!a =) People always make me happy here.

It might help temporarily but it would do you better to fix whatever the problem is that is getting you depressed so that you could be happier more frequently.

Yes. It's an awesome pick me up to get all done up. Maybe catch a few looks in the process, too, and that'll pick you up.

Not really. Normally if I'm depressed, it's due to money issues, so spending more of it wouldnt help, it would make it worse.

Yes it does. When I'm down I wear make-up, but my old man gives me crap about it. He swears that I'm just tring to find someone new. He doesn't understand.
