No silly answers please. He was never tested, so we are unsure if it took. I know all about vasectomies, it wasn't something we went into lightly. But now we are having second thoughts. I've met about 20 people in the past 1 1/2 years that had spontaneous reversals, so I know it is possible.

If reversal works for you, go for it. If not, you can always be inseminated or adopt.

The reason so many vasectomies fail these days is becuse of sloppy techniques. I had mine done "old school". The tranditional vasectomys don't often fail.

You are looking at a bill of better than 5K$. The process is called TESE. It has a better success rate than reversal (reversals have a success rate of about 25%). You are much better off adopting. You won’t get any ethical doctor to do these surgeries. Most are scammers.

There are two common types of scam associated with the industry. First is the one where the doctor keeps your hopes up, and will continue recommending different procedures until you can’t pay any more. My girlfriend worked in a clinic where the doctor (from India) did exactly that.

The other scam, is where they try to get you to sign up for financing (keep in mind that insurance does not cover any of this stuff). The scam is nothing more than identity theft. They often will use the name of some real clinic, like Forerunners healthcare, or some other (I am using Forerunners as an example, I am not indorsing them). The scammer is not affiliated with the clinic. Other times they use the name of a made up clinic that has a web site and everything. They don’t offer anything. Most of these scams are run out of India, Indonesia, China, and Mexico.

There are several SPAMmers that operate on Yahoo Answers that will tell you their cousin got the procedure in India, Mexico, or some other place. They are the ones to watch out for.

If you still plan to do this, ONLY go to a place that one of your co-workers, used before. Otherwise do the right thing - Adopt!

in the journey that your husband needs a VR, then he would desire to get a VR. Many families have greater effective than 2 infants and that they are merely advantageous. in spite of everything, some ought to agrue which you will desire to no longer have had 2 infants, an basically would are turning out to be greater of your interest and you will have been waiting to grant for greater issues for that first (and basically newborn). How might have you ever felt approximately that?...there are reward and downsides to a kin of any length. it is achievable so which you would be able to have a VR and characteristic yet another newborn. in fact, the faster you have a VR the plenty greater probably it is to prevail in producing a pg. If the VR happens interior of three years or much less of the V, you have a ninety seven% threat of return of sperm and a seventy six% threat of pg. each and each 12 months that is going by employing, the numbers decrease. We had our VR decrease than a 12 months out from the V (We made the errors of having a vasectomy and we found out it and adjusted our minds approximately sterilization and directly reversed it...it is a loose u . s . a ....there is not any longer something incorrect with changing your concepts or CORRECTING a mistake! Why stay with a bad selection once you could superb it? That'd be like finding out you have been going the incorrect way on a one way street and merely persevering with in that course because of the fact you felt you had to handle it and the end results of a incorrect selection. BTW, we did conceive and characteristic a VR babe.) so a approaches as peculiar numbers, i've got heard that too. Even to the element that table settings and parts are many times even numbered. yet howdy, in case you have have been given one greater chair at a table, it is basically some greater area for you or a place to set a diaper bag. a wierd form is what you're making of it; it is an benefit.

OK since spontaneous reversals occur in less than 2% cases you must also know 980 people who had a vasectomy which did not reverse itself. At any rate, a vasectomy can be reversed although the rates of successful reversal are much lower than the rates of successful vasectomy.

ICSI - recommend by my GP for male who have vasectomy.

Female patient --> injections/E2 (blood test)/ eggs retrieve & egg transfer to uterus. The durations - approximately 6-8 weeks for injections period. 2 weeks waiting for the result after eggs transfer.

Male patient -> Retrieve sperm under GA, can be storage.

As long as the sperm is still active, most doctors can help you to set up a family.

Please take note that no often the IVF/IVM/IUI/ICSI/PGD treatment can be successful in first attempt, unless you are really lucky.

Western countries and Far East Countries doctors carry out different methods when doing these test tube treatment. i.e. western countries hospital suggested that patient can be check out hospital within 30mins, whereas, far east countries doctors advice to check out minimum 4 hours or maximum stay-in for a week, don't climb on ladder, try not to do housework, if is possible get a domestic helper for the first 2 weeks after the egg transfer, this is to increase the successful chances. Of course it is also depend on our nature body whether is healthy or not.

Some Far East patients will attend the chinese medication to making sure they have a healthy uterus which is easy for the embroy to attached onto the uterus.

Alternatively, you can try PGD treatment - this treatment can prevent "Down syndrome". If you are above 30+

Good luck.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I think it's a good idea to make an appointment with the urologist to test your husband and see if the vasectomy did or did not work. I'm not sure of the odds of the vasectomy failing, but the doctor could provide more accurate information.

Good luck!

you dont need an IVF, just an IUI, intra uterine insemination. Sperm can be extracted from the testes and then injected into the uterus. Its not cheap, but much less than an IVF procedure.

First step is a sperm count and motility test, if the vas took than you will have to do a reversal or an extraction.

You can have an IVF. They should still be able to extract sperm from your husband for this procedure. Of course, most insurance companies don't cover fertility treatment so it will cost you anywhere from $10,000 - $15,000. You could also adopt.

After having a vasectomy, your husband isn't going to have enough sperm to make an IUI worthwhile. Any good RE will recommend IVF instead.
