You don't really have to dress up for the hotels in the Med, and you'll probably find that you don't wear half the clothes that you take, so don't spend too much time stressing to find new things.
A couple of light dresses, a pair of tailored shorts with a couple of matching or contrasting light blouses, a pair of jeans, a pair of trousers, a couple of pairs of shoes, a pair of flip-flops and that's about it. Surely you've got these in your wardrobe already. They might not be new, but you're not going to meet anyone who's seen you in them before, so how would people know you've not just bought them?
Remember, it will still be quite hot, and you are likely to get a bit sunburnt so you won't want anything heavy on your skin.
On the other hand, there might be a chill in the evenings, so you could take a cardigan.
Also, the fewer clothes you have to buy the more you can spend on enjoying yourself out there. You could buy local clothes when you arrive, which would probably save you a packet.

Cyprus is fabulous - I have been there quite a few times. You don't need to have very smart clothes, smart casual will be fine.
I'd suggest a pair of black cotton / linen trousers and some brightish t-shirts, shorts, bathers, sarong and one or two skirts, but for the most part you will live in bathers if you like the water.
