I need some help for my Theatre class....?

ok well we have to tell a 5 minute fairy tale, folk tale, or urban legend. i can't think of one to do. ne suggestions? i really want it to be very funny. that i'm really good at. thnx

Well, Google would be a good place to start. I had to do this once when I was starting out in my (now abandoned) acting career. I chose Robin Hood because it was what I could think of on five minutes notice (ugh, improv, yuck). Look for one that not many people would know of and then take the main plot and tweak it to your tastes. What did I do? I made Robin Hood gay, Marion a ditzy bimbo, and the sheriff secretly an exotic dancer.

Just have fun and be confident. It really don't matter -what- you present as long as you can present it well and keep the interest of the audience. Hope it goes well!

once apon a time long ago their was this woman who had a long desire. For the man of her dreams who happend to live across town. Now he knew of her love and they bonded in a relationship that was very healthy and perfect. They where making plans to move in together and get married. Unexpecting the worst to come. on a saturday afternoon Shelly went to the grocery store and overheard a conversation in the produce isle. About a urban legend that certain foods can be stimilating aphrodeshiacs ( sorry i tried my best to spell that word). so shelly goes on through out the store and buys some choclate some oysters and various other items. in a plain to have a romantic evening with her boyfriend. For this was a special night for them. since she had Alex's key to his appartment. She figured she go over and make over the apartment so when alex got home he would be so dazzeled and romanced. Now she spread rose pedals every where candles lite up the place. and so forth she layed apon the table all these mentioned aphrodisheacs and proceeds to leave because she forgot a bottle of wine. 5 mins after she left Alex came home so tired from his job early that all he wanted to do was get some sleep. For he did notice that his apartment was newly decorated he figured get some sleep before shelly arrived or called. So while alex is sleeping his dog barney went into the dining room and proceeded to eat every thing in site on the table. Shelly finally returned and was devistated that all the food from the table was eaten and alex was passed out cold. She walked in to let alex have it and was going to tell him what an a hole he was for ignoring her affection. She awoke alex up and just about she was to do so the dog came in and started to hump her leg. she tried to shew away the dog but alex said its best to let him finish other wise he will bite. And alex tells shelly well look at it this way atleast barney is starching your nylons.

well it was one day i where in a village and i stared to walk a little bit further because i saw something with yellow eyes and sharp teeth it look like there was two of them making sounds like them were talking in some weird language i walked a little closer two them as i was walking i step-ed on a broken branch then they looked at me i thought they saw me but they didn't because i was wearing black they thought was the wind i was really frighten then it sound like a bed sound i got i little closer still trying two figure it out as my feet got stuck in this deep hole next it sounded like a it was coming towards me as if i thought it was but it was just louder an it sounded like a scream brouhaha! when i finally get there standing before my bright brown eyes there was silence all three looking @ each other it was a wolf and Lady wolf getting bize next the wolf said Dan we cant never get Private be continued....................................

Go to the library and find Thurber Carnival and in it find his fables. Dramatize them using a narrator and actors and action. Fun!
