That's pretty funny considering that the neocons invented the term RINO ( Republican in name only) to demonize and campaign against moderate Republicans who might vote with Democrats on occasion.

I doubt that there are many Americans who actually know what a neocon or a rino is (and they are two vastly different things). The neocons get the support of the religious right which the R party needs. If a true conservative runs on issues of personal liberty, accountability, and isolationism he or she would lose the hawks also. That would be about 30% of the voting electorate . . . making the person virtually unelectable. It is a sad state of affairs.

short lived....as history has already recorded. there have been periods of Republican control, Democrat control over the course of politics in the United States since the beginning. We go back and forth depending on the candidates and who we think will do the lesser damage.

No - the Rush Bimbobulb listeners will rise again when we forget how arrogant and inhuman the right can be when left in control for too long. The good news is less people die each time we have our noses rubbed into it.

The pendulum swings back and forth. It will come back in their favor one day.
