I am looking to buy a air compressor and it is 8 gallons and 2 hp. That air compressor is 5 scfm @ 90 and 6 scfm at 40 is this air compressor good?

It would be good for small tools and small jobs. It really depends on what tools you're using and what jobs you're doing. Your tank is not very big and the 2hp will not fill it up really fast, so if you are using larger tools that use a lot of air or continuously running something small or several tools at once the motor won't be able to keep up with the demand

You didn't say what you are going to use it for. This will be good for airing tires, and light jobs. If you plan on using a lot of different air tools you may want to look at a bigger unit. Air tools will give the cfm that they use. This number is usually conservitive. Buy what you need/want the first time out.

That depends .. you need 8.6scfm@90/ 25 gallon tank/ 135psi to run a half-inch impact. (to take off lugnuts)

A compressor that size will run a nailgun, airbrush, quarter drive rachet,blowgun......

for most uses yes..85 PSI constant is about the standard for your situation
