Conservatives talk the talk but don't walk the walk on a whole list of issues such as smaller Government, less spending, properly following the Constitution.
I often wondered why Conservatives feel that they have cornered the market on patriotism. Especiall the religious right who would so easily restrict other people's freedoms.

That stupid bill, introduced by "six-gun" Webb was just an unabashed attempt by a pornographer-turned-senator to legislate interference into the prosecution of this war. It deserved to go down in flames.

Again, that is not the complete story.
The bill was designed to restrict the number of troops that would be available for service, thus forcing a draw down.
Libs didn't have the interests of the soldiers in mind while writing it. Just as they didn't when Durbin piggybacked that friggin' Dream Act to a DoD bill last week.

it was over semantics. It's the idiots on here that only read headlines that are perpetuating the hate in this country.
The Democrats have been using bills like that simply to get headlines. They knew it wouldn't pass, yet it was all for your entertainment.

Conservatives hate to spend a dime on anything that doesn't blow up, and giving troops time off would mean they would have to hire more to fill in the gaps; thus costing more money.

Like I said before, as a former liberal Democrat, I know that Dems are more apt to be hypocritical than Conservatives.
Case and point, The Dems were overwhelmingly voted into Congress because they were supposed to stop the war.
It has been almost a year and the war is still going on.
Please explain.
