what about the Wild Card? I hope the Yanks lose then the Tigers still have like 9 games to get into the Wild Card. I will definitely roof the Tigers to get in their over the Yankees.

Winning at least 2 outta 3 against Cleveland was paramount. I think the HR Zumaya gave up in the 8th inning of the first game sealed the Tiger's fate. That one hit completely robbed them of their momentum going into the series. If you would have told me 2 seasons ago that the Tiger's would go to the world series one season, and be in a play off race the next season . . . I would have wept with joy. Sports memories are very short.

Footnote: I love how the Tribe fans refer to "The Tribe" in first person "I, we, us, our" (for those Cleveland fans who don't understand what part of speech "first person" refers to). Then blame the banks when your house is foreclosed on and use third person, "them, they, their". CLASSIC. OSU should really consider more than a GED for admittance.

Tigers are toast and anyone who thinks they will get the wildcard is delusional. Personally, the Indians could not get past the NYY this season so Tribe fans would much prefer to meet the Tigers in the playoffs as we have certainly tamed those Motown Kitties. Meow from Cleveland, pussycats.

I'd rather see the Tigers in the Wild Card, but unfortunately their season is over. There's always next year....and plenty of time to beef up in the off season free agency.

Unfortunately, I think this is true. Would have liked to see them make it since they have, who I believe, is probably the league MVP for this year - Magglio. Others might say Arod, and - if the Yanks win it all, he might be. But overall, I think Magglio was more valuable to his team.

You are correct though, I think the Tigers HAD to take at least 2 of 3 from this series. Having been swept - I think they are done.

To those Tiger fans who said the 2005 White Sox were a one year wonder - welcome to the club. Your table is ready... Now you have more time to worry about the Wings and Lions.
