Gina E,"WOW"you got lots of responses!Keeping "Community Guidelines" in mind some of your answers are kind-of-lame and lazy and non-respectful as all those low-lifes that actually come up with logical reasons(like:"my-child&rheamatisum&Lazyness&moods)not to walk a few feet to do the proper action of putting the cart away.Thank You for asking this question!

Actually I do! Mainly because I work at Wal-mart and I have had to help get the shopping carts many many times, it's quite a job when they are scattered all around the parking lot! Second reason is because of car bangs....thanks to some nice lazy shopper I have two nice dings in my van due to stray shopping carts.....So I consider the two reasons and return my cart when I am finished with it! I wish others would also consider returning the carts as well!

When my kids were little we'd hunt down the errant shopping carts in the parking places and drag them to the front of the store. We made a game of it...the little ones pushing the abandoned carts home...the three of us with three carts weaving our way up to the store. Now they are adults and they still pick up the abandoned carts as they go in to shop and return them to the corales when finished.
If you can't take the time to return what's been provided for you, then you're in tooooo much of a hurry.

I do and I do it b/c that is why the coral is out there. If it wasn't there that would be the 1st thing people would complain about not having.
I also do it b/c I've been in that situation when you go to park and some idiot left the shopping cart in the parking spot and I have to get out to push it to the side.

9/10 yes, especially when I have to put a quarter in it just to use it. I do it out of courtesy. I was given the cart to borrow. I ma as well return it. The guys who do the outside work have it hard enough. Their job is to bring the carts back, not to chase them all over the parking lot because someone is lazy.

I return the cart every time. I guess I do it cause I really hate it when you go to pull into a parking spot and someone has left their cart right in the middle of it, it's really irritating. Or the fact they could roll off and hit someones car. Obviously I hate it when people don't take their carts back, it's common courtesy and it only takes a couple of minutes.

Yah I always do because when I was a freshman in high school I worked at a grocery store and HATED doing carts because people would leave them 10 feet from where they were supposed to go ... America can use the exercise - thats what all the grocery store employees who get the carts are thinking

Yes, because I feel for the poor person who would have to all over the place to get all the carts together and bring them back inside the store. Also, when the carts in their corral there is less risk of one of them rolling away and hitting someone's car.
For those who don't I would think that they are lazy.

Almost all the time. Unless it is too far away from me and I see other buggies, or the buggy boy is near, I will leave it in front of my vehicle so that someone else can park there. It sucks when people don't even try to put it somewhere out of the way, especially when the cart holder is close to them. Not all stores have them though, and that's what they are supposed to have paid employees take care of, not that it happens all the time as it should.

Yes, I do this because I've seen too many incidences where there are shopping carts rolling around in parking lots, hitting cars, or getting in the way of cars trying to navigate through the parking lot. I think people who don't are probably in a hurry or lazy.....
