This is the real side of baseball. If you would like to look a little further into this "Little League" baseball has been doing this for years under the name of "Challenger" baseball. The idea was actually carried to the Little League baseball organization by Bob and Elizabeth Dole years ago. It's all great stuff and the people involved with this are very dedicated and deserve a lot of credit.

See, I just love stuff like this. Once in a while it's nice to see something nice -- not mean. Around Y/A people obviously think 'mean' is 'cool', but a story like this does a lot to negate Shelley Duncan and Bonds and all. It's like when that autistic kid hit what, 8 three-pointers at the end of the season for his team. Thanks for posting. Sometimes I need reassuring that there are people who just want to help.
