And why cant socially conservative Republicans actually own up to the fact that their morally preaching is largely a compensatory deceptive hoax?

No guts to,perhaps? What else?

Larry Craig is gay. Instant Democrat, right?
Nope. He chose to live a lie, preaching against and legislating against who he realy was.

Comfortably nestled in the Republican Party.

Can YOU see that glaring a personal deception against a constituency with a Democrat? Anybody?

What is it about the outlandish moral claims the Republicans make that is so attractive TO fake moralists?

Wisdom? Moral Values? Personal Responsibility?
Nah.Fake morality,thats what.

And oh yeah, I almost forgot, Bill Clinton's a bad guy because he never preached against the kind of sex Democrats usually have...with girls!(oh the horror) LOL

They have a "wide stance" on the issues. And they "peer through the cracks" in order to clearly see the bare essentials that are facing us. They also "reach under" in order to pick up anything that has fallen. And they generally have a fun, "toe-tapping" time!

Time out. Closet Republicans is not systemic. Aside from Foley and Craig, whom else can you name? I can't think of anyone. OK, that's two people, how many members in the Republican party?

Another thing: some people are homosexuals, and this trend doesn't seem to target specific groups. They're found everywhere. Craig chose the Republican party, but if he's gay he didn't decide that. That's just the way he is. If he were gay, that would not imply that he'd have to be a Democrat. Since Republicans cater to the religious base by adopting an anti-gay platform (which I disagree with, discrimination is wrong, period, case closed) any Republican candidate has to fall in lock step. If Craig is gay, and wanted to run as a closet Republican, that's his own personal choice. You can't knock someone else for choosing to be a closet gay, nor can you force them out.

Concerning morals: much like homosexuality, immorality is seen everywhere. Curiously, since the Democrats don't adopt a moral values platform, they seem to be exempt from being judged by moral standards and use this as a platform to attack Republicans that follow human nature and occasionally deviate from accepted and adopted moral values. Until the Democrats adopt moral values, I won't listen to a word of them pointing out who is or isn't moral.

Bill Clinton's a bad guy because he took advantage of an intern by lying to her to get oral sex. OK, whatever, more of a personal situation. But then he lied about it to the American public. That's when it became in the interest of the country to determine how this guy spends his time in office.

That's a load of road apples.

Having social standards and morals is not a hoax, even if those who espouse them fail to live up to them. It is always better than having no standards or morals.

If Larry Craig says he isn't homosexual, who are you to say otherwise? That's not your call. Nobody recognizes that you have any say in the matter.

As for "preaching and legislating" against homosexuals, what is this based on? That he didn't support changing the law and the custom of millenia by pushing homosexual marriage? That's utter nonsense, and you know it.

Your preening and screeching doesn't make a lick of sense, does have any logic, and is not supported by the facts.

Tsk, tsk. Typical leftists, all hot air, insults and hyperbole, no fact or logic. Effeminate? You'd know all about that, queenie!

Personally I would rather have a candidate that keeps his life style choices in the closet then one who keeps her campaign financing in one. Wouldn't you? No? Are you a phobe then?

Everyone knows by now that the toe tapping senator story was a smoke screen for the Hsu story. Once Hsu gets his chance with Bush's federal prosecutors to trade what he knows about the Dems campaign financing for a get out of jail free card you libs will be lucky to win election to school boards!

Larry Craig still maintains that he is not GAY. Unless you have slept with him, what proof do you offer. Because you have failed to offer any proof, I will assume that based on your statement as fact, that you are gay and have slept with him. Is this you way of coming out?

By the way, he has disenfranchised himself from the republican party, I don't hear many republicans backing Larry Craig or his actions.
